Born in Badulla, Sri Lanka, matured in Colombo, and now living in Melbourne, Australia, Chandana is a technical support engineer, learner, and problem solver. With a background in software and network systems support, Chandana works with systems engineers to support open source hosting solutions.
His first job was also a Systems Support Engineer role, but it was an internship for a company in Sri Lanka, which is a part of the London stock exchange group. After that, he worked for a telecommunication company in Sri Lanka and then moved to Australia as a full-time student. He completed his master’s degree and then worked for a wholesale ICT solutions provider in Melbourne before joining Amazee.
Having worked in software and telecommunications industries, Chandana has a fundamental understanding of both software and network systems support and also in application development. He values the experience he’s gained in working with a diverse set of people like customers, technicians, engineers and wholesale suppliers.
He likes learning new concepts, solving problems and considers himself happiest when he feels like he’s made an important contribution and achieved success together with the team.
He’s excited to collaborate with amazee.io’s highly experienced, global team and to use and improve his skills with modern technology. And he’s looking forward to the challenge.
When he’s not working, Chandana enjoys watching TV shows and YouTube videos, listening to music, and going for walks and exercising. He also follows sports like Formula 1, cricket, soccer, and rugby.
Chandana is curious about almost everything, but his true passion is learning about things like new technologies, cultural and political developments around the world, and anything that helps to improve his daily life.
